Dissolution of Chau Phong Commune General Clinic (Quy Chau)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 23, the District Medical Center and Quy Chau District General Hospital coordinated to hand over the facilities of Chau Phong Commune General Clinic according to Decision 711, dated February 12, 2015 of the Provincial People's Committee.

The general clinic and Chau Phong commune health station share the same campus.

Chau Phong Commune General Clinic is a medical facility in the disease prevention and treatment system that ensures care for cadres, workers and people in the area of ​​Chau Phong, Chau Hoan, Dien Lam communes of Quy Chau district and some people in the surrounding areas.

However, since its establishment in 2009, the clinic has not been effective due to lack of investment in upgrading, repairing and constructing, lack of medical equipment, lack of human resources, especially lack of doctors, poor equipment, and failure to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment.

Departments and branches attended the handover of facilities to Chau Phong Commune Health Station.

Based on the above facts, on February 12, 2015, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 711 approving the Project on reorganizing the system of regional polyclinics in Nghe An province. Accordingly, 14 regional polyclinics were dissolved, including Chau Phong commune polyclinic.

After the dissolution, patients from the above communes were transferred to the district general hospital, staff, beds, and equipment were transferred to the district general hospital. The infrastructure was handed over to Chau Phong commune health station for management and use.

The dissolution of some ineffective general clinics is a breakthrough in order to implement a streamlined and synchronous health system management model; to innovate the operation methods of health units to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of operations. In particular, with these adjustments, the functions and tasks of health units at the district and commune levels will be more suitable to the actual situation of the locality. At the same time, the operations of health units at the district and commune levels will be rearranged to better serve the health care needs of the people.
