Green Star Award: Ngoc Anh and Kim Ly are most popular

The Face of the Year Awards - Green Star Cup, organized by TodayTV channel in collaboration with Cinema World Magazine for the first time, took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater on the evening of December 22, attracting many film and television actors, directors, singers, models... to attend.

There are 18 categories voted by the audience and the Arts Council in the two fields of cinema and television. In the field of cinema, Vietnamese-American actor Kim Ly and actress Truong Ngoc Anh of the film Huong Ga both won the awards for Favorite Actor and Actress voted by the audience. In addition, Truong Ngoc Anh also "won" the award for Best Actress voted by the Arts Council.

Speaking when receiving the award, Truong Ngoc Anh thanked the crew of the film Huong Ga, her parents and daughter, and "thanked the fans who... spent money to vote for Truong Ngoc Anh and thanked the press and media for supporting her return after 7 years."

Actor Kim Ly also thanked the film crew and all the audiences for supporting him even though he had only recently returned to Vietnam and appeared.

Also in the film industry, actors Trung Dung (Lac Gioi) and Binh Minh (Co Dau Dai Chien 2) both won the Best Actor award, actor Binh An (Lac Gioi) received the Promising Cinema Face award, the film Lac Gioi received the Best Film award, and the special award - Outstanding Creativity was given to director Victor Vu (Qua Tim Mau).

Thu Huyen, on behalf of actor Binh An (film Lac Gioi), received the Promising Cinema Face award.

In the television field, Chi Dung (film Sapphire Curse) and Nhat Kim Anh (film Single at 30) received the awards for Most Favorite Actor and Actress voted by the audience while the awards for Best Actor and Actress voted by the Council went to the trio Quy Binh (film Long River), Kim Tuyen (film Eyes of the Heart), and Van Trang (film Long River).

When going on stage to receive the award, actress Kim Tuyen burst into tears because she was so moved, while actress Nhat Kim Anh said this was the most meaningful wedding gift for her on her upcoming happy day.

The Promising TV Face award was given to child actress Phuong Quynh (film Au O Vi Dau), the Most Favorite Vietnamese Film award went to Finding a Husband for My Wife and the Best TV Drama award went to Doi Mat Cua Trai Tim.

Filipino actor duo Richard Yap and Jodi Sta.Maria were awarded the People's Choice Award for Favorite Foreign Actor and Actress, and the film Little Heart starring them won the Favorite Foreign Film award.
