Sentence reduction, early release for prisoners on September 2nd

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the leniency policy of the Party and State towards those who make mistakes, on September 2, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the decision to reduce prison sentences on the occasion of National Day, September 2 for 32 prisoners who have behaved well during their sentences.

Decision to reduce prison sentence for 9 prisoners released from prison early

The Council for Review of Prison Sentence Reduction decided to reduce the prison sentences of 32 prisoners. Of these, 9 prisoners had their entire sentences reduced, and 23 prisoners had their sentences reduced from 2 to 8 months. These prisoners all had good rehabilitation processes, strictly followed discipline, rules and regulations during their sentence. This is a condition and opportunity for prisoners to quickly reintegrate into the community, live a useful life for their families and society, and is also a motivation for other prisoners to strive to work hard to reform well to enjoy the lenient policies of the Party and the State in the next amnesty periods.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Board of Supervisors of Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center presented decisions to reduce the prison sentence for 9 prisoners who were released from prison early, and completed procedures for them to soon reunite with their families and relatives.
