Stampede at a concert in Guinea: 24 people killed

Police are currently investigating the cause of the stampede.

On the evening of July 29, a horrific stampede occurred at a concert on a beach in the suburbs of Guinea's capital, Conakry, killing at least 24 people.

Health authorities said that in addition to the 24 people killed, dozens of injured people were taken to hospital.

In a statement, the office of the President of Guinea expressed sadness at the tragedy that occurred at a cultural event. The Guinean government has declared a week of national mourning following the incident. Police are currently investigating the cause of the stampede./.
