Oil price reduction from April 1

From 0:00 on April 1, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) has adjusted down the prices of diesel, fuel oil and kerosene while keeping the price of gasoline unchanged according to the direction of the Ministry of Finance.

Specifically, the price of diesel oil decreased by 240 VND, diesel 0.05S down to 22,600 VND/liter; Kerosene price decreased by 150 VND to 22,480 VND/liter; Fuel oil price decreased by 130 VND, with 3.0S fuel oil down to 18,760 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of Ron 92 gasoline remains at 24,690 VND/liter and Ron 95 gasoline is 25,190 VND/liter.

On March 31, the Ministry of Finance issued a notice on the management of gasoline prices at the present time. Accordingly, in addition to requiring gasoline trading enterprises to maintain stable selling prices for gasoline products, the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade also requested enterprises to reduce prices for diesel, kerosene and fuel oil.

In the context of the world oil price continuing to fluctuate, and based on the domestic socio-economic situation and the 30-day average of the base price of the world oil price; and based on the price registration documents of the key oil trading enterprises, the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced the management of domestic oil prices.

The Ministry of Finance said that the basis for calculating base prices is according to the provisions of Decree No. 84/2009/ND-CP and Circular No. 234/2009/TT-BTC to have calculations.
