Discount on bus tickets across Ben Thuy bridge

(Baonghean.vn)- Starting from 6:30 a.m. on November 20, the Vinh bypass BOT Branch (Nghe An) has officially reduced ticket prices for vehicles passing through Ben Thuy 1 and 2 toll stations. The reduction is 5,000 VND/trip for some types of cars.

Specifically, fares for type 1 vehicles: vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons and public passenger transport vehicles are reduced from 45,000 VND to 40,000 VND/trip; for type 2 vehicles: vehicles with from 12 to 30 seats, trucks with a load capacity of 2 tons to under 4 tons, the fee is reduced from 60,000 VND to 55,000 VND/trip.

The rest of the vehicles have not changed.

BOT toll collection at Ben Thuy 1 bridge is one of the events that was widely reported by the press and attracted public attention in September 2016.

Toll rates at Ben Thuy Toll Station 1 and 2 will change from November 20, 2016.

Previously, at the end of 2015, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 51/2014 regulating the collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of road fees. Accordingly, from January 1, 2016, the Vinh bypass BOT branch (Nghe An) will adjust the toll collection rates for vehicles passing through Ben Thuy Toll Station 1 and Ben Thuy Toll Station 2. This ticket price increase has caused many different opinions among the public.
