The monitoring team at the physics classroom of Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Vinh City).
At Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Vinh City), the school pays attention to the arrangement of classrooms and the provision of learning and practice tools and equipment. Currently, the school has 6 classrooms for biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and industry, and each subject has a storage room and a practice room. In addition, the school also has a common storage room for equipment and pictures; 1 library; 2 computer rooms with 46 computers and 4 projectors; 1 music room. Regarding equipment and learning materials, in addition to being provided according to the education sector's program, since 2009, the school has also focused on purchasing additional equipment such as computers, electronic lesson plans, pictures, radios, etc. In the first semester of the 2012-2013 school year alone, the school has purchased 32 additional types of equipment and teaching materials, worth 24 million VND. The rate and quality of using educational equipment is high, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning at the school.
At the provincial boarding high school for ethnic minorities, the school has also reserved good classrooms for practice rooms. The rate of lessons using equipment is 70-75%, with foreign languages, information technology, and national defense subjects reaching 100%.
However, the problem at the two schools is that compared to the requirements, educational equipment is still lacking, but mobilizing resources to invest in purchasing and supplementing is difficult; The number of staff in charge of equipment is not sufficient and meets the standards. Although the staff in charge of equipment often coordinates with subject teachers to guide students in practice, there is no classroom regime, no harmful regime. The quality of some educational equipment provided is not guaranteed and not suitable for the teaching program, causing waste of state budget resources.
