Cua Lo High School has 27 classes, including 1,072 students, an average of 39 students/class. This is the first high school in the province to be recognized as meeting national standards in 2004. Since then, the school has always strived to promote and improve the quality of the standards. The outstanding quality is the quality of the team with 100% of teachers meeting training standards, of which 22.6% have qualifications above the standard. The rate of excellent teachers at the provincial and national levels is 41.5%. The quality of education has increased with the rate of students with excellent academic performance accounting for over 7%. Socialization continues to receive attention. However, the previously invested facilities have degraded; functional classrooms do not meet new standards; there is a lack of activity rooms for professional groups; toilets for students, which makes it difficult to review and submit for re-recognition according to the regulation that re-recognition will be granted after 5 years.

The leaders of the Town People's Committee reported on the construction of standard schools in the area. |
Through the working session, the monitoring delegation noted that Cua Lo is the locality with the highest rate of schools meeting national standards in the province with 95.5%, of which the rate of schools meeting level II standards is 27.2%. Experience in Cua Lo is to clearly identify that building national standard schools is the task of the Party Committee, government and political system at all levels to focus on leadership and direction. The town has had policies to encourage attracting good management staff and teachers; focusing on allocating resources to invest in infrastructure for schools mainly from internal resources, associated with attracting socialized resources from businesses, children living far from home and contributions from the people. The town has also clarified the responsibility of schools in caring for training and fostering management staff, teacher quality; caring for education quality.
However, in Cua Lo town, there are many schools that have been recognized as meeting standards for more than 5 years. Now, the facilities in some schools have degraded, lacking some functional classrooms and still not meeting the new standards. The current difficulty is that Cua Lo does not benefit from any national target program, while the resources for education in Cua Lo have long been mainly drawn from the land use rights grant fund, but at this time it is very difficult.
