The difficult road to Ha Son (Quy Hop)
(Baonghean.vn) - Ha Son is still a poor commune of Quy Hop district. Up to now, the rate of poor households accounts for nearly 35% of the population. Difficult transportation is one of the main reasons slowing down the local development speed.
Ha Son is connected to National Highway 48 through Minh Hop commune by a single road of nearly 18km long, also known as the raw material road. Except for the first few kilometers passing through Minh Hop commune which has been paved, the rest of the road is dirt, making it very difficult to travel. According to people's feedback, in the rainy season the road is slippery, some sections are very muddy, making it extremely dangerous to travel; in the summer, dust flies everywhere. Mr. Truong Van Dong - Con To hamlet, Ha Son commune complained: "It's been raining like this for the past few days, making our people very miserable. Every time I have to go out of the commune for work, I feel very reluctant. Both people and vehicles are covered in mud. I hope the road will be upgraded so that people can travel more conveniently and do business more easily."
The road is full of mud, when it rains, people and vehicles have difficulty moving.
During the sugarcane season, difficult traffic is the main obstacle making transportation more difficult.
Mr. Truong Van An - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee said: "The commune's biggest difficulty is the poor transportation system. The internal roads are almost not concreted, while the main inter-commune road connecting to National Highway 48 is deteriorating rapidly, affecting many aspects, mainly trade and transportation of goods. It is the sugarcane season, but it has only been raining for the past few days, so the raw material road has quickly deteriorated. It is very difficult for vehicles to transport sugarcane to the sugar factory for people."
Ha Son is a very large sugarcane raw material area serving sugar factories.Tate& Lyle is located in Nghia Xuan commune, Quy Hop district. Upgrading the raw material road into the commune is a legitimate and urgent need to help farmers sell agricultural products easily, contributing to increasing income, improving the quality of life, and accelerating the process of hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the locality.
