(Baonghean)A lecturer or researcher is only allowed to guide a maximum of 2 scientific research topics of students at the same time, and must be responsible for the content of the assigned topics.

This content was issued by the Ministry of Education and Training in Circular 19/2012/TT-BGDDT dated June 1, 2012, regulating scientific research activities of students in higher education institutions.

Accordingly, students conducting scientific research projects have the right to use available equipment of the university to conduct scientific research; publish research results in the university's proceedings, journals, magazines, scientific announcements and other media; have intellectual property rights protected for research results and scientific publications conducted by students according to current regulations; have priority in considering scholarships; consider emulation titles and forms of rewards if they have outstanding scientific research achievements.

Financial resources for students' scientific research activities are formed from: State budget; Sponsorship and aid from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals; Extracted from the university's legal revenue sources; Mobilized from other legal sources.

This Circular takes effect from July 16, 2012, replacing Decision No. 08/2000/QD-BGDDT dated March 30, 2000.
