At the conference, comrade Truong Thi Ngoc Anh - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front assessed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has made many efforts in propaganda work, mobilizing people to unite, actively compete in labor production, practice thrift and has achieved valuable results, the great national unity bloc has been increasingly expanded and consolidated, thereby contributing to the implementation of the task of socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security of localities and the country.

In 2014, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the cluster made many efforts, joined hands, united hearts, overcame difficulties and challenges, had many good and creative ways of organizing activities and work programs, which were recognized and positively evaluated by Party committees, authorities and people at all levels; The results have contributed significantly to maintaining political stability, successfully implementing the socio-economic development, national defense and security goals of each locality and the whole country.

The content and form of the Front's work in the provinces and cities have been innovated, the quality and efficiency have been significantly improved, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, social consensus, cultivating compassion in every Vietnamese person, actively contributing to the successful implementation of political, socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in the locality. By November 30, 2014, the "For the Poor" Fund at 3 levels of the provinces and cities in the cluster had mobilized more than 171.176 billion VND, built 3,581 new houses, repaired 1,448 Great Unity houses for poor households; The total amount collected from organizations, units, enterprises and individuals was more than 21 billion VND; Quang Binh province was supported with 3 billion VND, more than 39 billion was allocated for famine relief, support for families with victims, production support, housing support in provinces and cities... In addition, the Front at all levels and member organizations implemented coordinated programs to improve the effectiveness and quality of the campaigns: "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" associated with the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas; "Day for the poor"; "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"...

Discussing at the conference, representatives of the cluster of provinces and cities in the North Central region all assessed that in addition to the achieved results, there are still some limitations such as: Coordination between the Fatherland Front and member organizations in some places is still formal, lacking in synchronization and not tight. Unified coordination in some areas is not even, especially in the fight against negativity, social evils, and ensuring traffic order and safety. The work of grasping the people's situation and reflecting people's recommendations is not timely, many people's concerns have not been thoroughly resolved. The planning, training, fostering, use and policies for cadres of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations still have many shortcomings, causing ideological problems in Front cadres and member organizations. Emulation and reward work has not received due attention, the voting for emulation titles at the grassroots level and in residential areas is still formal in some places, not paying attention to improving the quality of "cultural families" and cultural residential areas.

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Truong Thi Ngoc Anh acknowledged that the provinces had analyzed and clarified the outstanding results and the work that the provinces were passionate about; informed and shared good practices, introduced models of their localities for other provinces to study and refer to; and at the same time pointed out the things that had not been done, the obstacles and difficulties in the work to discuss and find solutions together. Discussed and contributed opinions to the draft guidelines for implementing the regulations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 8th term, contributing to improving the quality of the campaigns, enhancing the role and position of the Front in the work of social supervision and criticism.

On this occasion, representatives of the Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces agreed that Thanh Hoa province was chosen as the host of the 2015 North Central Region cluster meeting.
