Meeting on emulation and reward work for Cluster 7

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 22nd, in Thanh Chuong district, the Department of Internal Affairs organized a conference to review emulation and reward work in 2014 for the Road 7 emulation cluster.Comrade Cao Thi Hien – Director of the Department of Internal Affairs – attended the conference.

The Road 7 emulation cluster, comprising districts bordering neighboring Lao provinces (Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, and Thanh Chuong), faces numerous socio-economic challenges, particularly limited transportation infrastructure; and the lives of the people remain difficult. Over the past year, based on overcoming difficulties and exploiting advantages, each locality has launched many emulation movements and campaigns, such as "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"; "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas"; economic development, poverty reduction, preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups, and ensuring national defense and security. In particular, the emulation movement to jointly build new rural areas has created significant progress in infrastructure, transformed crop structures, and created many effective economic models, contributing to increased income for people in the districts and effectively implementing the Party and State's poverty reduction efforts. In conjunction with organizing emulation movements, units within the cluster have also focused on innovating emulation and reward work; replicating many advanced models and new exemplary factors, contributing to encouraging and improving the quality of emulation movements.

At the conference, the units in the Road 7 emulation cluster highlighted several shortcomings and deficiencies, most notably the low and uneven quality of emulation movements, especially in the construction of new rural areas. Based on this, the units also clearly identified key tasks for 2015, focusing on reviewing the targets and tasks of the entire 2010-2015 term to accelerate the implementation of targets and tasks that are nearly achieved. They will concentrate on resolving pressing issues among the people, addressing complaints and denunciations from citizens. They will also prioritize innovation in emulation and reward work, ensuring the spirit of emulation is fostered among collectives and individuals.

Overview of the conference

At the conference, the participating units also unanimously agreed to propose that the Government award the Emulation Flag to Con Cuong district and Thanh Linh commune (Thanh Chuong district) for their outstanding achievements in implementing emulation movements in 2014.
