Meeting on propaganda work of provincial mass organizations

(Baonghean) - On December 26, at the Provincial Farmers' Association office, the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference on propaganda work of provincial mass organizations. Comrade Thai Khac Thu - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the conference.

In 2011, the propaganda work of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations (Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Veterans' Association, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Labor Federation) had many positive changes. The propaganda system of the organizations did a good job of advising on the implementation of the Party's directives and resolutions, and local political tasks; summarizing the Party's directives and resolutions in the field of propaganda... especially focusing on widely propagating the election of deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term; propagating the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. Implementing the Campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"; Plan to implement Directive No. 03-CT/TW dated May 14, 2011 of the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example... promptly, ensuring depth, breadth, and practical effectiveness.

The work of maintaining the quarterly meetings of agencies in the bloc, the work of educating political theory and Party history, culture and arts, current news, grasping social mood and opinion, the activities of the reporting team, the work of editing and publishing, and the use of press and newsletters are maintained in a systematic manner, with quality improving day by day.

The conference also pointed out limitations: oral propaganda work has not really been innovated in content and form; the work of grasping public opinion is still slow; social criticism has not received due attention.

Comrade Thai Khac Thu - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department concluded: In 2012, we will continue to do a good job of advising the Party Committee to implement the Party's directives and resolutions, innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work, continue to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example, promptly grasp public opinion and improve the quality of propaganda cadres and grassroots reporters.
