Security coordination meeting in border areas

(Baonghean.vn) -On April 13, in Hoang Mai town, a meeting took place between the two border stations Quynh Phuong (Hoang Mai town) and Nghi Son CKC border station (Thanh Hoa).

Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station has 15.5km of coastline, bordering the Nghi Son Border Guard Station to the north, Thanh Hoa Border Guard. Over the past year, the sea area managed by the unit and the sea area adjacent to Nghi Son Border Guard Station have had complicated developments. Activities such as using electric shock, explosives, theft at sea, collisions, and accidents at sea still occur frequently. Some other illegal acts such as illegal trading and storage of drugs, arbitrarily setting up barriers to collect money from citizens in Hai Thanh commune (Tinh Gia)...

Recognizing the importance of the adjacent sea area, in recent times, the Party Committee and Command Board of Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station and Nghi Son Border Guard Station have had many plans and solutions to protect the sea in the adjacent area, strengthen propaganda work, and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws while participating in exploitation activities in the sea areas of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.

Chief of Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station and Chief of Nghi Son Border Guard Station signed the commitment.

Over the past year, the two units have maintained regular coordination in exchanging information, situations related to criminal activities and activities of vessels at sea, search and rescue work, strengthening propaganda, protecting sovereignty over seas and islands, preventing the use of explosives to illegally exploit seafood and activities related to national security. In addition to the work done, the two units have also pointed out some limitations in exchanging professional information and the quality of legal education and propaganda in the adjacent areas, and the coordination of patrols and controls between the two sides has not been regular and continuous.

Leaders of Hai Ha commune (Tinh Gia) and leaders of Quynh Lap commune (Hoang Mai) signed the commitment.

Through the conference, the two units agreed to further promote the management, protection and maintenance of security and order in the coastal border area in the coming time.

At the conference, representatives of the two border stations Quynh Phuong and Nghi Son Border Guard Stations and leaders of the two communes Hai Ha and Quynh Lap signed a commitment to the Plan to protect the adjacent sea area.
