The number of students borrowing capital is nearly 127,000, the average outstanding debt per student is currently 15.2 million VND, the outstanding debt turnover reached 74 billion VND. By December 31, 2010, the total overdue debt was 3,559 million VND, accounting for 0.2%.
In 2011, the Social Policy Bank will disburse VND836 billion in loans to students, an increase of 48.8% compared to 2010, promote debt collection, and direct the collection of interest from borrowers in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction for households that voluntarily pay interest and households that are due to pay interest. Continue to do a good job of inspection and supervision, and resolutely handle cases of lending to the wrong subjects and using capital for the wrong purposes.
