Online meeting on rural industry development
(Baonghean) -On the morning of October 20, chaired by Deputy Minister Ho Xuan Hung, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held an online meeting on the results of 5 years of implementing Decree 66 of the Government on rural industry development.
Nghe An implements Decree 66 of the Government in the spirit of developing rural industries based on local resources and potential strengths. Accordingly, after 5 years of implementing Decree 66, the value of rural agricultural production has continuously increased, the growth rate reached 18.3%, products have increased in quantity and quality, diversified products and more products have been added to meet market demand. Many traditional occupations have been restored and developed, creating many jobs for rural workers. Craft villages have had quite a development step.
In particular, after 5 years of implementing Decree 66 of the Government, in Nghe An, rural agricultural service industries, production and processing of raw materials for craft villages, and formation of raw material areas for processing have contributed to changing the structure of rural agricultural economy, thanks to which the face of the countryside has many positive changes.
At the online meeting, the most mentioned issues were the widespread pollution of craft villages, the issue of loans for craft village development, policies to support product consumption, etc. Through this online meeting, the recommendations and proposals of localities on craft village development will be the premise for the Ministry of Agriculture to submit to the Government additional appropriate policies for rural industries to develop, bringing high economic value, increasing income for rural workers.
