Traditional education through street signs and in schools

To diversify the forms of propaganda and education on historical traditions on street name signs and in schools, where there are statues (or names) of famous people and historical events, the People's Committee of Nghe An province assigned: Relevant departments and branches to carry out the following tasks:
1. The Department of Education and Training directs kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools where there are statues or names of famous people, places, and historical events to erect steles or plaques summarizing the biography and achievements of famous people, annotating historical events, places, etc., in solemn locations on school grounds to educate generations of students about historical traditions.
2. The People's Committees of Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, and Thai Hoa Town organize the selection of a number of main roads to replace the nameplates, with additional annotations about the biographies of famous people, historical events, and famous places, and develop plans and budgets for implementation.
Focus on implementation in Vinh City in 2012.
3. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Education and Training, the People's Committees of Vinh City, Thai Hoa Town, and Cua Lo Town to advise on the establishment of a Council to appraise the content recorded on steles and signs placed in schools; Notes on street name signs; Propose street name sign models according to regulations (material, size, color...) and develop an implementation plan.
Closely coordinate with Vinh City People's Committee to select some main roads to replace street signs, to be completed before the National Day celebration on September 2, 2012.
Request the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, People's Committees of cities, towns and related units to urgently make plans and implement.
