Exchange "Uncle Ho in the hearts of the Vietnamese people" and awarding of the contest "Uncle Ho with ethnic minorities, ethnic minorities with beloved Uncle Ho"
(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of May 17, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City),The Government Committee for Ethnic Minorities and the Border Guard Command coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize the exchange program "Uncle Ho in the hearts of the Vietnamese people". Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee of the contest "Uncle Ho with ethnic minorities, ethnic minorities with beloved Uncle Ho" summarized and awarded prizes after nearly a year of launching the contest.
Participating in the program and award ceremony, on the side of the Central delegates were comrades: Giang Seo Phu - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister - Chairman of the Government Committee for Ethnic Minorities; Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Internal Affairs; Danh Ut - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Council for Ethnic Minorities; Hoang Xuan Luong - Deputy Minister, Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Ethnic Minorities; Major General Pham Huy Tap - Political Commissar of the Border Guard and representatives of Central Committees, Ministries and branches. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, representatives of the leaders of the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and a large number of people in Vinh city, Border Guard soldiers and students of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities.
With more than 50 thousand entries, the contest "Uncle Ho with ethnic minorities, ethnic minorities with beloved Uncle Ho" was truly a movement to study and follow Uncle Ho's teachings for all ages, from the youngest contestant of 14 years old to the oldest of 74 years old, with 45/54 ethnic minorities participating in the contest. The contest organizers awarded a total of 48 prizes for excellent entries, including 23 individual prizes and 25 collective prizes. In Nghe An, 3 soldiers of the Ky Son District Police unit excellently won second prize for collective entries.

Within the framework of the exchange program, many special art performances were performed by the Air Defense - Air Force Art Troupe, the Art Department - Vietnam Television and the Art Propaganda Team of the Nghe An Border Guard. During the exchange, the audience had the opportunity to meet typical ethnic minority people in the process of studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, namely Dr. Tran Thanh Pon, the first Khmer person to study and defend his doctorate in the Soviet Union and Captain Tu Thi Cong Le, a Ho Re ethnic, former actress of the Art Troupe of Military Zone 5, who had the honor of meeting Uncle Ho 5 times.
