Meeting with outstanding women's association presidents in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 10, the Provincial Women's Union organized an exchange with outstanding women's union leaders in 2014 across the province to celebrate the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - 2014), in Vinh City. Attending the exchange was comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

Outstanding branch presidents exchanged experiences in association activities at the meeting.

Currently, Nghe An Women's Union has 480 grassroots organizations with 5,942 women's branches and 502,104 members (including 67,293 ethnic minority members and 41,393 religious members). Through propaganda work, 100% of cadres and 81% of members have registered to implement the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, and build happy families".

Imbued with the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh "What cadre, what movement", under the direction of the Women's Union at all levels, the branch presidents have made the emulation movements, tasks, and campaigns rich, diverse, meaningful, and practical, helping the lives of women to improve day by day, and the quality of grassroots women's union activities has been significantly improved. Up to now, the Commune Women's Union has 399 excellent units, 77 good units, and no weak units.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ho Phuc Hop affirmed: In recent years, women's associations at all levels in the province have closely followed the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Party Committee, flexibly and creatively applied it to local practical conditions, thereby creating good practices, effective models, selecting issues with focus and key points of direction, making an important contribution to the implementation of local socio-economic goals and tasks. At the same time, he also affirmed that women's associations are the closest to the people, which is an important link in organizing the implementation of political tasks. Hopefully, in the coming time, the branch presidents will continue to promote the results of the past time, overcome difficulties, continue to be the core with influence in the community, affirm their noble qualities of being responsible in the family, being diligent, creative, and effective in work, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the upcoming 11th National Women's Congress, together with the provincial people's government to excellently complete the goals, targets, and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress.

At the meeting, 10 most outstanding branch presidents exchanged experiences in propagating and mobilizing members to implement population and family planning (Luong Dong - Nghi Van - Nghi Loc); effective fundraising (Dong Yen 2 - Nhan Thanh - Yen Thanh); women joining hands to build new rural areas (Dien Bien - Luu Son - Do Luong)... Also at the meeting, 74 outstanding women branch presidents were commended by the Provincial Women's Union.
