During the exchange, the Association organized the transfer of 22 Lao and Thai students to celebrate Tet with 14 families of members of the Vietnam - Laos Association and Vietnam - Thailand Association. The families voluntarily welcomed the students to live with their families on weekends, so that foreign students could learn about Vietnamese culture, creating opportunities for students to learn Lao, Thai or English. This is a flexible, creative and effective innovation in people-to-people diplomacy activities.
Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the emulation flag to the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations.
At the meeting, comrade Le Xuan Dai presented the Government's excellent emulation flag in 2012 to the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations. Mr. Nguyen Hong Nhi - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Tran Duy Ngoan - Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Mr. Le Van Ngo - Director of the Department of Education and Training were awarded the Friendship Medal.
The Union of Friendship Organizations presented gifts to 24 international students and 1 officer with many achievements in foreign affairs activities in 2012.
