Exchange to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 8, the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Nghe An province organized a meeting to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany, May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2016.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Nghe An province; To Hong Hai - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association; Nguyen Nam Dinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee; Lo Thi Kim Ngan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Doan Van Nam - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations; representatives of the leaders of Vinh City, Cua Lo Town; members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, terms 3 and 4, and 200 members of 10 grassroots branches in the province.

The exchange was organized to honor the gratitude of the Party, State as well as of our people for the great and effective assistance of the Soviet Union to the revolutionary cause of Vietnam through historical periods. This is also an activity to carry out the practical and effective people's foreign affairs mission of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Nghe An province in the new period.

Established in 1950, the Vietnam-Soviet Union Friendship Association, now the Vietnam-Russian Federation Friendship Association, has become one of the largest friendship associations in Vietnam.

For the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Nghe An province, since its establishment, the Association has organized many activities to strengthen friendship and cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries, contributing to promoting to all classes of Nghe An people about the country, people of Russia and Russian culture, as well as valuable material and spiritual assistance to Vietnam in the resistance war against the US and in national construction.

Screening the documentary "Unforgettable Victories" at the exchange session aroused pride in the great victory of the Soviet Red Army and of human history against Nazi Germany.

A duet by members of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Nghe An province praised the heroic fighting spirit of the Soviet Red Army in the Great Patriotic War.
