Art Exchange Lighting up the Dreams of Vietnamese Children 2012

(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of August 11, in Vinh City, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) coordinated with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the People's Committee of Nghe An Province to organize the art exchange program "Vietcombank - Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children".

Attending the exchange night were comrades: Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Dac Vinh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union; Nguyen Thi Ha - Secretary of the Central Youth Union; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Phuoc Thanh - Party Committee Secretary, General Director of Vietcombank; representatives of the State Bank of Vietnam, sponsors, departments, businesses and a large number of children.

The program "Vietcombank - Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children" has been held for 4 years and this is the first year it has been held in Nghe An. Over the past 4 years, with the attention of Party and State leaders at all levels, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, and sponsors, the program "Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children" has been organized with good results, aiming to promote children's rights, help those in difficult circumstances, and praise examples of overcoming and rising up in life and study.

In the program held tonight, the words of encouragement from the leaders, the performances, the scholarships were awarded in sympathy, love, and sharing with children in difficult circumstances. The program "Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese children" is a very meaningful gift that the Organizing Committee and benefactors send to children in difficult circumstances across the country; is the sharing of feelings between peers and friends in difficult circumstances; praising the examples of children with rich dreams and strong will; helping them turn their dreams into reality.



Two disabled artists perform at the exchange program

The program has received support from agencies, departments, authorities, businesses and philanthropists nationwide. This year, Vietcombank staff contributed 2 billion VND, businesses in Ho Chi Minh City contributed more than 1.5 billion. Businesses in Nghe An alone contributed 575 million VND.



Leaders of the Central Youth Union, Nghe An province, and sponsors awarded scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements.

This morning, in the Opening Program, the Organizing Committee awarded 330 gifts and 300 million VND to poor children who have overcome difficulties and achieved high academic results. Tonight, the Program continued to award 30 scholarships, each worth 5 million VND to 30 children.
Previously, the Program Organizing Committee awarded 80 gifts and 100 million VND to the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children in Hung Nguyen District and 50 gifts and 100 million VND to the Nghe An Social Work Center in Do Luong District.
