(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of March 1, at Nghia Dan district stadium, the provincial Population Department organized the "Singing Exchange of People Working in Population" night in 2012. Through smooth folk melodies, impressive fashion shows, colorful dances... messages about population work were conveyed to the people in a flexible way, with positive and effective impacts...

Although the exchange program was announced before 8 p.m., hours before, people from remote communes of Nghia Dan such as Nghia Lam, Nghia Mai, Nghia Minh... were present in large numbers. They came not just to watch a normal art program, but this was a special program because the singers they heard today were people who "knocked on every door" every day to propagate policies and guidelines on population, family planning...

The performance “Stop at two children” adapted from Nghe Tinh folk songs by the population specialist of Nghia Hoi commune brought profound moments to all the audience. The scene of a poor family, discord between husband and wife, children suffering from having too many children... appeared through the folk song. And the message “Whether girl or boy, two is enough” was conveyed smoothly, flexibly, easy to remember, easy to touch people's hearts, directly affecting people's awareness.

The most impressive was the colorful fashion show of specialized cadres from communes and towns of Nghia Dan district. Dresses were made from contraceptive pill blister packs, luxurious suits were made from cardboard boxes containing contraceptive tools, accompanied by accessories made from condoms, and graphic details and decorative patterns such as propaganda paintings with the message "Use contraceptive methods to limit unwanted births, limit unplanned pregnancies, and contribute to controlling the birth rate"...

The choir performance "Cultural Family" by the staff of the Thanh Chuong District Population and Family Planning Center has profound content: preserving family traditions, living in harmony, loving each other, and having a family plan to raise children best...

Many people from Nghia Dan district attended the exchange night.

More than 20 performances, skits, and fashion shows that population officers from districts, towns, and communes brought to the exchange night really left a deep impression. It is worth noting that population officers, despite their hard work and low allowances, still persevere, silently contribute, and sacrifice... The exchange program is an opportunity for them to express their feelings, to bring their songs and voices to serve the population communication campaign, and to encourage them to continue doing the "prisoner-bearing" work.

What remained after the exchange night were the things that people and compatriots realized about family planning, understood and sympathized with the hardships and sacrifices that population officers had to overcome. And from there, population officers of the districts learned experiences, exchanged good models, creative ways in propaganda work, mobilized people to implement policies, guidelines, and ordinances on Population/Family Planning....
