Exchange to overcome the pain of "white death"

(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the World Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (June 26) and the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), on the morning of June 24, in Quynh Luu district, the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize a special exchange program with the theme of overcoming the pain of "white death".

At the exchange session, those successful drug addicts shared about the painful and humiliating time when they fell into the path of drugs. Due to their shallow knowledge, while making friends and working far away, they fell into the path of addiction. After 4-5 years of being addicted to drugs, the consequences they left behind were pain for their loved ones, their property and money all went up in smoke.

However, they were awakened thanks to the encouragement of their families, relatives, neighbors and the help of local Women's Union officials and police officers, they reintegrated into the community. And through this program, they hope to use their lives to propagate people to stay away from drugs. Also at the exchange session, comrades who are women's union officials and police officers shared about the difficulties, the silent sacrifices, the perseverance of volunteers to help addicts, pushing back the "white death".

The exchange is a forum for insiders to share their feelings with the community "to stay away from white death"

Speaking at the meeting, leaders of the Vietnam Women's Union and Nghe An Provincial Police called on and hoped that everyone would join hands to fight drug abuse and help drug addicts have more determination and a good environment to successfully quit and reintegrate into the community.
