Realizing that preschool children have to stay at home for a long time, affecting not only their daily routine but also their awareness, Xa Luong Kindergarten, in Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong) has organized the printing of lessons suitable for each age group and distributed them for free to parents so that parents can guide their children to "learn while playing, play while learning at home".

Accordingly, all parents are given a set of documents including age-appropriate lessons to reinforce children's knowledge and skills. The lessons include: getting acquainted with Math, getting acquainted with letters (5-year-olds), getting acquainted with literary works, music education, nutrition communication and nutritional health during the epidemic season...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha Trang, residing in Cua Rao 2 village, Xa Luong commune, said, “My children cannot go to school because of the epidemic. Staying at home all day in front of the TV screen, I myself am also worried because I am afraid that watching too much TV will affect my children's eyes. I am worried, but I have to accept it because if I do not let my children watch TV, it will be even more dangerous for them to go out. Meanwhile, I want to teach my children to study, but honestly, I do not know where to start and how to teach appropriately, so I am very confused. Not only me but many parents are in the same situation as me.

Fortunately, the school printed the lessons and gave specific instructions to each parent so that they could teach their children at home. Based on the lessons distributed by the school, I guided my children to study. If I didn't understand any lesson, I would go to the Zalo or Facebook group of the class or school or call the teachers directly to get further clarification. I found this method very effective. Because it not only reinforces knowledge and life skills, but also helps limit the time children spend watching TV and creates a very good connection between parents, students and teachers at the school."

In addition to printing and distributing lessons to parents, the school also organizes video clips to send to parents through interactive groups between teachers and parents so that parents can watch and guide their children to study and play at home,” said Ms. Le Hong Quang - Vice Principal of Xa Luong Kindergarten.

Ms. Tran Thi Hien - Vice Principal of Hoa Binh Kindergarten said, “With the motto "temporarily go to school, but never stop learning", recently, the school's Board of Directors has selected teachers who are both good at teaching and eloquent to film clips to support parents in guiding their children to study at home. The main content is life skills education, helping children consolidate knowledge as well as living habits, how to make simple toys, mainly from locally available materials. These contents require to be concise, easy to understand, easy to recognize and especially age-appropriate. When the clip is finished, the Board of Directors will strictly censor the content conveyed by the teacher, if it meets the requirements, it will be sent to parents. Currently, this approach of the school is receiving very positive feedback from parents".

It is known that up to now, only preschool level has not returned to school, while all levels of education in Tuong Duong district have returned to school for in-person learning. However, the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic has been carried out very seriously by schools. Accordingly, schools have applied learning methods suitable to the actual conditions in the locality.
