Teachers, parents, union members and youth join hands to overcome the consequences of flash floods

The flash flood that suddenly occurred on the night of May 29 left Huu Khuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Tuong Duong) submerged in mud and severely damaged its facilities. In the midst of hardship, the spirit of solidarity and affection among teachers, parents, union members, youth and functional forces has spread strongly.

Not only the school was affected, the whole Huu Khuong commune also suffered heavy damage. According to the commune People's Committee, the flood swept away 14 houses (of which 3 were completely lost), destroyed 2 iron bridges, damaged the railings of 2 hard bridges, and caused serious landslides on the road leading to the commune center. In addition, 6 boats sank, 10 fish cages were swept away by the flood, and many areas of rice and crops were buried, seriously affecting people's lives. Photo: CSCC
