Physical education teachers are entitled to allowances and uniforms.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent a document to public educational institutions guiding the implementation of the Prime Minister's Decision on the allowance and uniform regime for physical education teachers and lecturers.

Accordingly, the subjects and quantity of uniforms granted are in accordance with the provisions in Decision No. 51/2012/QD-TTg dated November 16, 2012 of the Prime Minister.
The allowance is paid in cash and is calculated at 1% of the general minimum wage for 01 practical lesson. The allowance in cash does not apply to teachers and lecturers of physical education and sports in educational institutions of the People's Army and the People's Police.
For physical education teachers and lecturers who teach physical education and sports full-time, they are provided with 2 sets of long-sleeved sports clothes/1 year, 2 pairs of sports shoes/1 year, 4 pairs of sports socks/1 year, and 4 short-sleeved sports shirts/1 year.
For part-time teachers and lecturers (teachers who teach other subjects but also teach physical education and sports) they are provided with 1 set of long-sleeved sports clothes/year, 1 pair of sports shoes/year, 2 pairs of sports socks/year, 2 short-sleeved sports shirts/year.
Sportswear made in Vietnam. The material and type of clothing must ensure safety for sports activities and be suitable for the pedagogical environment and climate of each region. The design must be suitable for the cultural characteristics and aesthetic requirements of each locality.
The purchase of uniforms for teachers and lecturers of physical education and sports is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 68/2012/TT-BTC dated April 26, 2012 of the Ministry of Finance regulating the bidding for the purchase of assets to maintain regular operations of State agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations, social organizations, socio-professional organizations, and people's armed forces units.
