In the training program "Improving the capacity to apply information and communication technology in teaching" taking place from now until October 20, 300 teachers at three levels in Ho Chi Minh City will access the best tools for teaching, activating active teaching techniques, self-developing expertise... to create excitement for students.
As the main lecturer of the training course, Ms. To Thuy Diem Quyen, specialist of the Center for Information and Educational Programs of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that teachers must skillfully use connection and support tools to innovate teaching and learning.
Facebook, Skype, Onedrive, Patlet... will be effective tools for connecting and sharing between teachers and students. Tools for preparing lectures are also introduced such as Onenote, Sway, Top 100 tools... Tools for interdisciplinary teaching, testing and evaluating the teaching process are also updated to provide maximum support for teachers.

"These tools are quite popular but not all teachers know how to use them effectively in teaching. This special course will help make teaching more interesting," said Ms. Quyen.
Through the course, teachers will be thoroughly trained in technology platforms, thereby helping to change their own awareness and skills in teaching. This is a program with strong breakthroughs and modern educational orientation for teachers nationwide, in which teachers in Ho Chi Minh City will be deployed for training first.
According to the Department's plan, all high school teachers in the city will be trained in modern teaching methods using direct training methods. This is only the first stage in educational innovation, many other programs will continue to be implemented such as: optimizing project-based teaching, integrated teaching, guiding students in scientific research...
Through training, the Department of Education will find good teachers to invest in developing as the core for educational innovation.
