(Baonghean.vn) - One of the two first prizes this year of the contest belongs to teacher Nguyen Thi Hien - Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities No. 2, with a work written about her former teacher who is over 85 years old this year.

On the afternoon of December 29, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training held the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the Writing Contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" in 2023.

The contest was first held in 2011, with the name "Deep memories of homeroom teachers and homeroom work". Since 2018, the contest has been called "Deep memories of teachers and school" and has been held annually.

In 2023, the contest was launched by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Education and Times Newspaper from early October 2023, with the aim of recognizing and honoring teachers who have good jobs and achievements, and actively contribute to educational innovation; recognizing and honoring educational institutions with many innovations and creativity in teaching and learning; spreading the good feelings of students, parents and teachers towards teachers and schools.

After 2 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee received more than 80,000 entries and selected 44 works for the Final Round. Thereby, the Jury selected and awarded 30 prizes (2 collective prizes and 28 individual prizes).

At this year's competition,Department of Education and TrainingNghe An is one of the two units with the largest number of entries and was awarded a collective prize by the Ministry of Education and Training. The number of entries from Nghe An is estimated at about 20,000.

Besides, in this contest, Nghe An also won 3 individual prizes, including 1 First prize and 2 Encouragement prizes. The First prize belongs to author Nguyen Thi Hien - teacherBoarding High School for Ethnic Minorities No. 2, with the work "Warmth from the Hand".

2 Encouragement prizes, that is the work "Extraordinary willpower of a teacher with a serious illness" by author Hoang Thi Sau - teacher at Nghi Hung Primary School, Nghi Loc district.

The second Encouragement Prize is the work: "The Great Teacher" by author Nguyen Tram Anh - student of Class 11C6, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

Also in this contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the Character Prize to teacher Tran Tho Dong - former Principal of Nghi Loc 3 High School, Nghi Loc district - the character in the work "Warmth from the Hand".
