Mr. Ho Duc Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Quynh Thanh commune said: Quynh Thanh is a Catholic commune with 2,019 households and 12,212 people distributed in 14 hamlets. The life of the people here is mainly agricultural production and secondary occupations such as bamboo and rattan weaving.
Over the past years, with the attention of the State and the dynamic direction of the Party Committee and the authorities, the lives of the people of Thanh Da parish have increasingly improved. Catholics have united to overcome difficulties, take care of labor and production, build their homeland, well implement all policies of the Party and State, and are citizens who "respect God, love the country, and live a good life and a good religion".
Officials are hanging up election day propaganda slogans.
In preparation for election day, the commune has focused on promoting propaganda, updating and providing people with complete information about the election. Especially after the mass, the parish priest regularly reminds people about the rights and obligations of citizens regarding the election, thereby raising people's awareness.
Mr. Ho Duc Toan added: The election day for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels is very close, the Party Committee and the government of Quynh Thanh commune are more active in propaganda work. Posters are hung on most of the main roads, and propaganda is regularly broadcast on the loudspeaker system. At 8 polling stations in hamlets and 4 polling stations at homes (because there are no hamlet cultural houses yet), the work of posting the list of voters and candidates has been completed. All work for the election day has been basically completed.
Mr. Van Thom, a parishioner, confided: We often hear propaganda about the election day on loudspeakers and in neighborhood meetings, so we eagerly look forward to going to vote. We hope to elect representatives who truly care for the people and need to pay attention to secondary industries in rural areas, focus on investing in agriculture, solidifying irrigation systems, and quickly draining floods from flooded areas.
Coming to Phu Yen parish, An Hoa commune, the atmosphere of preparation for election day is also very bustling, in the cultural halls of the hamlet crowded with people, all the people are learning the biographies of the candidates to choose the best representatives. It is known that in this election, Quynh Luu has nearly 25,300 voters who are parishioners, accounting for 10% of the voters in the whole district.
On the winding asphalt road in the middle of the vast green fields, we feel the national festival is coming very close to the people of Thanh Da parish.
