This symphony was inspired by the true story of 10 female youth volunteers who sacrificed their lives at Dong Loc T-junction, Can Loc, Ha Tinh, which every Vietnamese knows. This story deeply moved the composer Oki Masao and he wrote it to express his admiration and remembrance for them.
In addition, the concert also featured excellent works by other Vietnamese and Japanese musicians such as: Rhapsody "Bai ca chung thuy" by Hoang Duong, "Khuc giao mua" by Trong Dai, "Folloric dance suite for orchestra" by Wada Kaoru written specifically for the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra. The concert was conducted by conductor Honna Tetsuji with the special participation of violinist Bui Cong Duy.
