Introduction to nuclear power plant design technology
On August 2, ASE Vietnam Corporation (part of the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation - Rosatom) introduced a technology for managing the life cycle of complex engineering works, including nuclear power plants, called Multi-D.
Responding to Vietnam+ reporters, Mr. Andrey Stankevic, representative of Rosatom Group, said that Multi-D technology will be used to design Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant, with this enterprise as the general contractor.

Multi-D is a digital technology that brings together multiple information, technical documents, designs and construction parameters of a nuclear power plant into a single digital model. Multi-D allows to visualize all possible conflicts and issues that arise during the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of a nuclear power plant.
In addition, this technology also allows the construction of digital models to control the configuration of objects, manage the supply process of equipment and materials, financial resources, time management and construction technology. Thanks to that, it helps relevant agencies make reasonable and timely decisions at all stages of nuclear power plant project implementation. In Russia, Rosatom also applies Multi-D to design and construct nuclear power plants.
Rosatom also said that by the end of 2013, the unit will submit to Vietnam a feasibility report on the Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant and confirmed that this is on schedule.
Regarding human resources, Rosatom has organized a team of engineers and workers from Song Da Corporation and Lilama to participate in the construction of the Rostov nuclear power plant (Russia). In addition, Russia also helps Vietnam train nuclear power engineers.
Previously, on July 29, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung led a Vietnamese delegation to visit the Russian National Research Nuclear University (MEPHI). Here, the Vietnamese delegation visited the science and education departments - where nuclear experts are being trained. Currently, there are about 60 Vietnamese students attending courses at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of MEPHI...
According to Rosatom's representative, there are currently more than 250 Vietnamese students studying nuclear power in Russia and every year there will be about 100 people participating in this training program.
In addition, with 7 domestic universities training in nuclear power, Rosatom believes that human resources will meet the requirements of the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant./.
