Book introduction and exchange with writer Le Tan Sitex
On the morning of April 26, at Nghe An Provincial Library, writer Le Tan Sitex had a meeting and introduced two novels “Alone on the Road” and “Fork in the Road”. These are two volumes of a novel-autobiography series published by Tre Publishing House, telling the story of the author’s life, a life closely linked to Vietnamese history.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 26, at Nghe An Provincial Library, writer Le Tan Sitex had a meeting and introduced two novels “Alone on the Road” and “Fork in the Road”. These are two volumes of a novel-autobiography series published by Tre Publishing House, telling the story of the author’s life, a life closely linked to Vietnamese history.
At the talk, readers listened to researcher, literary critic Pham Xuan Nguyen and PhD in literature Le Thanh Nga - Lecturer at Vinh University introduce the author, the circumstances of creation and the meaning of the novel. At the same time, through direct questions from readers, writer Le Tan Sittex shared his own memories and experiences during the time of writing the book.
Representatives of Nghe An Provincial Library presented gifts to writer Le Tan and critic Pham Xuan Nguyen.
The author gives away books and interacts with readers.
The author also said that although she had organized many book introductions, this was the talk she had been waiting for the most, an opportunity for her to return to her homeland and meet her friends and fellow countrymen. In the first volume of the novel “Alone on the Road” there are also many chapters about the ten years she lived and studied in Nghe An, before going to Poland to study.

Author Le Tan Sitek or Bui Ly Le Tan is originally from Nam Dan (Nghe An), but was born in Hunan, China in 1939. She is the eldest daughter of two veteran Vietnamese revolutionaries who worked for many years in China: Mr. Bui Hai Thieu (alias Ly Quoc Luong) and Mrs. Hoang Le Minh (alias Ly Phuong Thuan). In 1944, Le Tan returned to Vietnam with her mother and two younger sisters. Ten years later, she lived with her grandmother and her aunts and uncles in Pho Dong village, Nam Dan district. In 1955, Le Tan was able to study abroad in Poland. In 1964, she graduated with a degree in architecture and in 1962, she married Mr. Ryszard Sitek. Since 1967, she and her husband and two sons have settled in Oslo, Norway.
