Young Italian singer wins Eurovision Junior Contest 2014

With the song Tu primo grande amore (You are my first love), 14-year-old Italian teenager Vincent Cantiello won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014. The competition was held in Malta on the evening of November 16.

The second place in the 2014 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest for Young Artists was won by young Bulgarian singer Krisia Marinova Todorova with her song Planet of the Children. Third place went to young artist Elizabeth Danielyan, representing Armenia, with her song People of the Sub.

According to a VNA reporter in Rome, the final night of the contest featured contestants from six countries and lasted about four hours. The contest was broadcast live on television, attracting about 154,000 viewers, 735,000 direct comments and 60,000 links to the contest's website. This was the first time an Italian representative participated in the Eurovision Junior Contest and "took" the top prize.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a competition for European teenagers aged 10 to 16. The contest is organised jointly by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the Maltese Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
