Help poor households develop economy

(Baonghean) -The Party Committee of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district (Nghe An) has just organized a launching ceremony to support poor households in economic development with the participation of nearly 100 youth union members of the People's Committee of the district and Tan Lac town.

At the ceremony, the Party Committee representative presented Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lam in Tan Huong block, Tan Lac town with 2 million VND, 200 kg of agarwood roots (worth 3 million VND) and Mr. Vi Van Loi in Dinh Hoa block, Tan Lac with 5 thousand acacia seedlings (worth 2.5 million VND). After the launching ceremony, the youth union provided technical guidance and supported Ms. Lam and Mr. Loi's family to plant 0.25 ha of agarwood roots and 2 ha of acacia.

The amount of money to support 2 families (7.5 million) was taken from the support of party members and union members of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district - each person received 1 day's salary in the first 6 months of 2011.
