Help farmers make a profit
(Baonghean) - The world's advanced scientific research on nutrition shows that in cereal grains there are endogenous enzymes that help the germination process in suitable conditions of humidity, temperature and soaking time...
Therefore, when soaking cereal powder in water for a period of time, the enzymes are activated to produce organic acids, increasing the process of protein hydrate metabolism and preventing the growth of pathogens. The method of soaking cereal in liquid yeast is considered a solution to limit the use of industrial feed, farmers can take advantage of the produced feed, only adding concentrated animal feed.

Engineer Nguyen Van Thang guides how to soak grains. |
The method is that farmers prepare plastic utensils, barrels, jars, and ingredients for pigs to eat (corn flour, rice bran, etc.). Soak the cereal mixture in the ratio of cereal flour mixed with 2.5 - 3 liters of water, soak for 6 - 8 hours, at a temperature above 20 degrees Celsius, then add spices and concentrated animal feed powder according to the instructions and feed the pigs. Depending on the piglets and adult pigs, there are different types of concentrated powders to mix. Soak the cereal at 9am in the morning, feed the pigs at 3pm in the afternoon. Soak the cereal at 6-7pm in the evening, feed the pigs the next morning. If feeding 3 meals a day, the soaking time must be adjusted appropriately.
According to Engineer Nguyen Van Thang - former Director of Nghe An Province's Agricultural Extension Center, farmers should not soak concentrated powder with cereals. If antibiotics are used to prevent disease in pigs, they should only be added right before meals. Before feeding pigs, add a little hot water to warm the food so that the pigs will eat more and absorb it faster. On summer days, when the temperature is above 30 degrees Celsius, just soak for 4-6 hours in a ratio of 1 powder mixture: 3 liters of water, then mix the concentrated powder according to the instructions for feeding pigs.
Gradually change old feed to liquid yeast + concentrated powder feed to avoid sudden changes that can lead to digestive disorders. It is estimated that only 2.3 kg of feed made by the liquid fermentation method will produce 1 kg of live pig. While previously, 2.8 kg of new concentrated feed was needed for 1 kg of live pig.
