Google Maps stops navigation function in Vietnam
Google has yet to give a reason for the sudden discontinuation of this service.
As of May 13, all devices using Google Maps will no longer run the navigation feature in Vietnam. The search giant has yet to announce the reason for stopping providing this service.

Testing on computers or mobile devices such as Android phones, tablets, iPads, iPhones..., the direction function does not work. Google has blocked the navigation-related API in Vietnam.
On Google's forum, many Vietnamese topics ask why the company has temporarily stopped providing directions, however, Google still has no official answer.
The navigation function on Google Maps officially became available in Vietnam in early January 2010. Direction allows users to determine directions for free. After the service was suspended, Vietnam was one of 56 countries that the company did not provide direction to.
