Previously, Gmail email users were limited to attaching files no larger than 25MB, and this caused a lot of inconvenience.

Therefore, Google decided to increase the above capacity limit by integrating Google Drive service into Gmail and allowing users to attach files up to 10GB, 400 times larger than today.

With the new upgrade, attachments will be stored using Google's modern cloud computing technology.

To start attaching files up to 10GB in size, Gmail users simply need to click on the Drive icon, instead of the stapler icon as before, and select the file to upload.

Google also announced on its official Gmail Blog that since the Drive service was launched last April, millions of users have joined to store and share their data.

Integrating Drive into Gmail with a new 10GB attachment limit is a perfectly reasonable move for Google to expand its cloud storage service, and the user community will certainly welcome this upgrade, thereby helping Gmail maintain its position as the world's leading email service.
