Google builds research center dedicated to AI

Google has consolidated all of its research projects and artificial intelligence (AI) efforts under one simple name, Google AI. The company explains that it merged all of the aforementioned names into Google AI because current work at the company sees AI as core to the development of all of the machine learning techniques that Google applies to its products and platforms.

Google AI is the umbrella name for many of Google's research-related projects.

Google has done tons of AI research and development over the years, including a recent study that opened a website where you can talk to books, the report said.

As part of the new brand, Google has renamed all Research channels and blogs to “Google AI,” and you can now find information about all of its AI work on the new team’s website at ai.google.

The company has also rebranded all of its social media channels, including Twitter and Google+. With AI being the backdrop for every new product and feature announcement at Google I/O last night, it's clear that AI is something the company is really focusing on.
