(Baonghean.vn) -In December 2005, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to introduce the education of the history of the Nghe Tinh Soviet into schools. On July 6, 2007, the two sectors officially issued plan No. 1341/ on education of the Nghe Tinh Soviet tradition for junior high school and high school students. After 5 years of implementation, it has contributed significantly to educating the young generation about patriotic traditions.
On December 19, 2012, in Vinh City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize a 5-year review of the introduction of Soviet Nghe Tinh traditional education into schools. The conference was an opportunity to evaluate the results achieved in the past 5 years and to propose key tasks for the coming time.
At the conference, there were many opinions about bringing Soviet traditional education into schools. Talking with teacher Nguyen Nam Giang - Principal of Mon Son Secondary School (Con Cuong) - one of the units that has done well in educating the XVNT tradition for the generation of students, it was known that: Determining this is an extremely important task in educating the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary tradition for the young generation, in recent times, the school has actively diversified the forms of activities such as organizing for students to take care of the relics of Vi Van Khang's house, Con Chua banyan tree in Mon Son; visiting families of war invalids, martyrs, Vietnamese heroic mothers on July 27; September 2, holidays, New Year... The most gratifying thing is that since the day of strengthening the education of patriotic tradition for students, the rate of excellent students at all levels of the school has increased. Especially in the competitions on learning about history and border security, Mon Son Secondary School always achieved the highest results. In the past 5 years, the school had 67 excellent students in history; first prize in the "History Club" at the cluster level and was selected to participate at the provincial level; first prize in "Learning historical knowledge about the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement 1930 - 1931" organized by the XVNT Museum...
Students of Nghia Khanh Secondary School - Nghia Dan visited Ru Am Cave - the place where the first Party cell of Nghia Dan district was established in the period 1930 - 1931.
Nghia Khanh Secondary School students were happy on the day they received the certificate of historical relic 1930 - 1945 Tru village banyan tree - Ru Am cave.
Dien Truong Secondary School (Dien Chau) has integrated historical lessons about the Nghe Tinh Soviet into history subjects, organized competitions to learn about the history of the period 1930 - 1931; integrated into flag-raising ceremonies at the beginning of each month. Maintained the "Long An Drumbeat" club for students to visit and study at Long An communal house; organized incense burning at the communal house on major holidays of the year such as July 27; September 2, holidays, New Year... All these activities have contributed to creating interest in learning history for students, helping them understand the history of their homeland and locality.
In addition to the opinions of schools, the Cultural and Information Centers of districts with Nghe Tinh Soviet relics also contributed significantly to coordinating the organization of activities to return to the source for the children. According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Director of Thanh Chuong Cultural and Information Center: educating the Nghe Tinh Soviet tradition is educating the patriotic and revolutionary traditions for students. In recent times, in Thanh Chuong, Nghe Tinh Soviet relics such as Vo Liet communal house, the house of comrade Nguyen Dinh Kinh in Xuan Tuong, Nguyen Duy family temple in Thanh Phong, Nguyen Sy and Nguyen Sy Sach family temples in Thanh Luong... have all been taken care of, preserved and promoted by schools. Once a week, the children come to clean, water the plants... This is also an interesting form of extracurricular activity after stressful school hours. In my opinion, in the coming time we should pay more attention to taking care of relics, visiting Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, and martyrs' relatives on major holidays... that is also the most effective opportunity to educate children about revolutionary traditions.
Over the past 5 years, relevant sectors have completed the compilation of extracurricular lectures on the 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution for 9th graders in junior high school and 12th graders in high school; produced the educational film "Soviet Nghe Tinh 1930-1931"... The 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution Museum in particular has coordinated with localities and schools to organize historical exchanges, dialogues with historical witnesses, listen to thematic talks, and screen 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution films... Each year, the Museum organizes 7-9 mobile exhibitions at the District Cultural and Information Center or the People's Committees of communes. In this form, the Museum has brought the 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution to most schools in the province. In building the model of "Friendly School, Active Students", the 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution Museum helps schools compile a list of ranked Soviet Nghe Tinh relics for students of schools to take care of locally... Directing junior high schools, high schools, and Departments of Education and Training to organize students to visit the 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution Museum and participate in exchanges to learn about the 1930-1931 Soviet Revolution and other historical content. Most of the junior high schools and high schools in Vinh City organize annual visits to the Soviet Museum for their students. The most typical ones are Le Viet Thuat and Ha Huy Tap high schools, Le Loi, Cua Nam, Quang Trung, Trung Do, Ben Thuy secondary schools... which have maintained a tradition. Since its implementation, the number of students visiting the XVNT Museum has increased. The number of students visiting mobile exhibitions, participating in cultural exchanges, learning about history, listening to traditional stories, and watching educational films about the XVNT movement has increased, including some schools in mountainous areas. Thanks to that, students' awareness and understanding of local history and the XVNT movement has become increasingly deeper.
In the following years, to further promote the traditional values of the Nghe Tinh Soviet among the masses, especially students, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to direct and accelerate the implementation of the plan for relevant departments and units. The XVNT Museum will adjust the content of the mobile exhibition to suit the age of the children, innovate more attractive explanation methods. At the same time, coordinate with the history clubs of schools to improve the quality of cultural exchange activities, competitions to learn about the history of the homeland and the country... The introduction of historical education through visiting museums and relics will be included in the compulsory extracurricular program. Assign and organize students to take care of XVNT relics in the school area according to the movement "Friendly school, active students".
