Contribute to increasing combativeness, mass appeal and diverse performance styles

(Baonghean)In 2012, Nghe An Newspaper continued to effectively implement the Project approved by the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Improving the quality of Party newspapers in the period 2012-2015, with a view to 2020". The quality of content and form of local Party newspapers was raised one step further.

In 2012, with the attention and direct guidance of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Committees, Nghe An Newspaper successfully completed its political tasks, publishing 308 daily issues, 52 weekly issues, 3 special issues closely following the events and political tasks of the province, promoting typical new factors, strengthening the fighting spirit, fighting against negativity, fighting against negative manifestations, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province. Also in the past year, for the first time, the number of newspapers issued exceeded 14,000 copies/day, an increase of nearly 3,000 copies/day. The e-newspaper attracted traffic from an average of 15,000 visits/day to nearly 50,000 visits/day, the highest ever, bringing the total number of visits on Nghe An e-newspaper to more than 34,717,900 (December 29, 2012), compared to 15,887,000 in 2011 (December 26, 2011), more than the combined 6 years, nearly 3 times more than in 2011.

The content and form of the newspaper have been innovated, the quality of the "Party Building" page has been improved, many in-depth topics on economics and society, especially hot topics with elaborate investigations, closely following the incident have been welcomed by public opinion such as: "Existence after resettlement of Ban Ve hydropower plant", "Illegal preaching activities in Con Cuong", a series of articles on occupying public land in Ngoc Long Parish - Yen Thanh, Deforestation and the support of forest rangers, The painful story of Agent Orange in Nghi Loc, Production of fake rice cookers by Viet Nhat Household Appliances Company, Does the Charity Fund have compassion?; Handling land disputes in Nam Dan, Nam Thanh (Yen Thanh); a series of articles on market management, on public ethics of civil servants... In addition, the propaganda of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, Directive 03 of the Politburo on promoting "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", patriotic emulation movements, have been carried out with focus and key points. With outstanding events and hot spots, Nghe An Newspaper reporters and many collaborators were present to promptly reflect, which was highly appreciated by all levels, sectors, readers and people.

Along with promoting outstanding events, in 2012, Nghe An Newspaper also focused on promoting the sea and islands, building new rural areas, supporting Vietnamese goods, administrative reform, hot issues of public concern, resolving citizens' complaints and denunciations, the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, promoting anti-corruption, practicing thrift, fighting waste; preventing natural disasters and epidemics...

In 2012, Nghe An Newspaper received and handled over 300 cases out of a total of 306 complaints and feedbacks from the people and readers sent to the Editorial Office, an increase of nearly 40 cases; over 300 hotline messages. The complaints and feedbacks sent by citizens were handled and responded to by most of the agencies and functional units, on that basis, Nghe An Newspaper responded fully and promptly to the citizens.

Contributing to that overall result is the participation of local Party committees, propaganda departments of districts, cities, and town Party committees; post offices at all levels, and education and training departments in implementing Directive 11 of the Politburo and Directive 03 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on purchasing and using Party newspapers and magazines.

The above results must be attributed to the active contributions of the team of collaborators inside and outside the province in enriching and improving the quality of the party newspaper. Many senior collaborators such as poet Duong Huy, Thach Quy, engineer Doan Tri Tue, Mr. Sam Van Binh, Mr. Truong Cong Anh, teachers Phan Sy Thuan, Pham Huy Duc, Tran Ngoc Lan, Thai Tam, Xuan Nhuong; young collaborators Mai Giang, Huong Giang, Hai Thuong, Cao Duy Thai, Thai Duong... to new collaborators such as Hoang Tung, Hai Trieu, Le Xuan... and the regular collaboration of many reporters from the provincial Radio and Television Station, district-level Radio and Television Station, and a number of comrades who are leaders and experts of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Last year, the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper maintained the good reception of news, articles and photos from Contributors at the Contributors Readers' Room, meeting the publishing schedule well. In 2012, Nghe An Newspaper received more than 12,000 news, articles, photos and prose works from more than 400 Contributors, an increase of 1,700 news, articles and photos. Of which, nearly 11,000 were received via email, an increase of 1,300 compared to 2011. The rate of news, articles and photos from Contributors that were published accounted for nearly 70% of the news, articles and photos that participated in the collaboration. In 2012, the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper also rewarded 50 Contributors whose quality news and articles were published in Nghe An Newspaper's publications. In the overall achievements of Nghe An Newspaper, the Editorial Board highly appreciates the role, enthusiastic and increasingly effective cooperation of the team of collaborators inside and outside the province for Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend, Ethnic Mountainous Areas, and Nghe An Electronic. It is the collaboration of the collaborators that has contributed to increasing the fighting spirit, the mass spirit and the diverse style of expressing press works in Nghe An Newspaper. This is also a very important initial source of information for Nghe An Newspaper to have the conditions to approach, investigate more deeply and thoroughly, clarify issues of public concern, as well as fight against negativity and harassment, and improve social life.

We are in the first days of the new year 2013, the third year of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, a year of many important events and holidays of the country and the province. From January 1, 2013, Nghe An Daily Newspaper has 8 pages and is published on Sundays, an increase of 2 pages and covering the daily newspaper 7 days/week compared to 2012, along with improving quality, requiring more active contributions from the team of reporters, the coordination of the Postal Service, of the grassroots Party Committees as well as the active, effective and honest collaboration of the team of collaborators in propagating and encouraging the patriotic emulation movement, successfully completing political tasks in the new year.
