Comments on the Quỳnh Lưu Tourism Development Plan for the period 2016-2020

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 25th, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held its regular monthly meeting to evaluate the results of tasks performed in April and to set directions and tasks for May 2015. Notably, at this meeting, Quynh Luu district also solicited feedback from various departments and agencies on the Quynh Luu District Tourism Development Plan for the period 2016-2020.

In April, Quynh Luu district directed the people to care for and control pests and diseases in the 2015 spring crop. To date, about 500 hectares of rice have bloomed. Livestock farming developed stably, with no outbreaks of disease. 33 communes and towns implemented spring vaccination, with 8 communes having completed the vaccination program. The district directed communes and units to effectively carry out forest protection and fire prevention and control; 120 hectares of forest were planted during the month. Eight project owners who borrowed capital to build ships implemented shipbuilding according to Decree 67 in 4 communes; 172 small fishing vessels were issued certificates.

In the month, the total output of exploited and farmed aquatic products was nearly 4,160 tons, with a cumulative total of over 13,460 tons in the first four months, reaching 24.04% of the annual plan. 28.3 million tiger shrimp were produced. Care is being taken to maintain existing clam farms, and those affected by disease are undergoing renovation according to proper technical procedures, awaiting favorable conditions before releasing new clams. In addition, the district has focused on land clearance for the Thach - Thanh - Luong road project and other key projects, directing contractors to adhere to approved designs and expedite the construction of projects that are behind schedule.

Overview of the conference

At this meeting, Quynh Luu district also provided feedback on other important reports such as the report on the results of implementing the plan for developing and improving the quality of human resources in 2014; the report on the results of the 3-year implementation of Project 07 of the District Party Committee on implementing Resolution 03 of the Provincial Party Committee on building new rural areas in the period 2011-2020. In particular, the district sought opinions from delegates to contribute to the development plan for tourism in Quynh Luu district for the period 2016-2020.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Hoang Danh Lai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District, requested that the tasks set for May 2015 focus on building new rural areas, assigning responsibility to relevant levels and sectors. He also called for the successful implementation of the "Month for the Poor" with the Fatherland Front. He instructed schools and the District Youth Union to implement summer activity plans for young people. He emphasized the need to proactively prepare for the high school graduation exam and the entrance exam for grade 10; and to find solutions to accelerate the construction of national standard schools. Regarding investment projects in production and business, a long-term strategy is needed; and some support mechanisms for businesses and types of businesses are necessary. For the Quynh Luu District tourism development plan for the period 2016-2020, a specific and practical tourism development orientation is required, dividing regions according to tourism types; and attracting investment in infrastructure development.
