The Top 5 of Miss Universe 2018 is expected to include contestants from Spain, South Africa, Ecuador, Philippines and Vietnam.
Although Miss Universe 2018 will not officially take place until December, beauty sites have already put the beauties on the "scale" to compare, analyze, and predict the results. Most notably, the representative of Spain is expected to be crowned the highest position in this beauty contest. Previously, Angéla Ponce was the cause of controversy: whether transgender people should be allowed to compete in beauty contests or not. Attracting attention from the beginning and being highly appreciated for both talent and beauty, Miss Universe Spain 2018 will be a strong competitor in this beauty contest. She is also the first transgender contestant to participate in an international beauty contest.
The remaining names in the top 5 are the representative of South Africa (predicted to be 1st runner-up), the Philippines - candidate for 2nd runner-up and the beauty from Ecuador who may become 3rd runner-up. The Miss Universe 2018 contest will be held on December 16, 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The final results were not as predicted, Pham Huong unfortunately missed out of the top 15. Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia was mistakenly crowned and had to sadly give the title to Pia Wurtzbach, who was previously considered to be lower than her.
