Defeating Levante 4-1, Barca puts one foot in the semi-finals of the King's Cup

With Tello's hat-trick, Barca put one foot in the semi-finals after a 4-1 win over Levante in the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. Notably, all three of Tello's goals had Messi's mark.

Having to play away from home, Barca was rated higher in every aspect. However, the first few minutes did not go as expected. The away team even conceded the first goal. In the 31st minute, Nabil El Zhar opened the scoring for Levante with a close-range shot after two consecutive rebounds.

In the remaining minutes of the first half, Barca regained control of the game and put pressure on their opponents. However, no more goals were scored.

After the break, Barca was still the better team and created more dangerous situations in the opponent's field. In the 53rd minute, after a not-so-dangerous attack, a Levante defender cleared the ball, hitting Juanfran Garcia and changing direction into the net. This unfortunate goal changed the whole situation of the match.

In the 60th minute, receiving a pass from Messi, Tello ran down to control the ball for a moment and then unleashed a powerful shot with his right foot to raise the score to 2-1. In the 81st minute, from a similar situation, Messi tore apart the home team's defense with a pass for Tello to run across and shoot into the far corner, doubling the gap for the away team.

Barca's third goal had sunk the home team's ambitions and the fourth goal was inevitable as Levante had almost given up. In the 86th minute, Messi lofted the ball past a Levante defender for Tello to break the offside trap, control it gently and finish close to the goal to seal a resounding 4-1 victory for Barca.

With a 3-goal victory, Barca has one foot in the next round, especially when the second leg will take place at Nou Camp a week later.
