Hanoi T&T suffered a crushing defeat in Korea

There were no surprises when Hanoi T&T suffered a 0-7 defeat against FC Seoul in the AFC Champions League play-off round.

Traveling to Korea with almost the strongest force, Hanoi T&T is confident that they will cause a surprise against FC Seoul in the AFC Champions League play-off match.

In the first minutes, the match was quite balanced and although FC Seoul had more possession of the ball, they could not have clear opportunities.

However, when they had the first chance, FC Seoul opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Midfielder Yun Il Lok fired a diagonal shot, giving goalkeeper Van Cong no chance to block it.

Before they could reorganize their formation after the first goal, Hanoi T&T conceded a second goal in the 20th minute. Everton's shot from outside the box hit Cyrus and went straight into the net, doubling the gap for FC Seoul.

Having conceded two goals, Hanoi T&T began to push their formation higher to attack and that was when coach Phan Thanh Hung and his team could not withstand the home team's extremely fast combinations and attacks. As a result, before the end of the first half, Seoul scored two more goals from Jung Jo Gook and Escudero to take a 4-0 lead.

In the second half, Seoul played very comfortably but almost every time they accelerated, they scored a goal. The home team scored three more goals in the second half thanks to Jung Jo Gook, Lee Seok Huyn and Ko Myong Jin in the 46th, 70th and 72nd minutes to complete the match with a score of 7-0.

With this result, Seoul won a ticket to the AFC Champions League group stage while Hanoi T&T said goodbye to the continental playground. This 0-7 loss is also the heaviest loss in the history of the capital team./.
