(Baonghean) - As usual, in the first days of the new year, the EC-225 Flight Squadron of the Vietnam Navy conducts the first sea flights of the year to patrol and patrol; ready to search, rescue, and provide emergency aid to vessels, boats, and fishermen at sea and on remote islands.

Established on December 25, 2011, EC 225 Squadron under the Navy performs search and rescue missions, offshore patrol, and civil missions serving oil and gas exploitation.

EC - 225 is the latest model of the Super Puma helicopter, manufactured in France, can reach a speed of 260 km/h, fly 520 miles, maximum payload of 11 tons, with a capacity of 19 passengers and two pilots. In particular, thanks to the additional fuel tank, the aircraft can fly up to 850 km, convenient for performing long-range patrol missions, search and rescue in the seas, islands, and continental shelves of our country.
