Two defendants in the 20-cake heroin trafficking ring were sentenced to death.

(Baonghean.vn)- On March 25, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial of two defendants, Ha Ba Hua (26 years old), residing in Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, and Hoang Van Quang (42 years old), residing in Xuan Son commune, Do Luong, for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, at 7:00 p.m. on August 19, at the inter-village road in Hamlet 9, Xuan Son Commune, Do Luong, the police force caught two subjects, Hoang Van Quang and Ha Ba Hua, red-handed transporting 8 heroin cakes, 1,000 USD, 3 phones and 2 motorbikes, which were the means used by the subjects to commit crimes.

During the period from July to August 2015, Ha Ba Hua and Hoang Van Quang illegally bought and sold 3 times with a total of 20 heroin cakes weighing nearly 7kg. Ha Ba Hua illegally profited 4,000 USD, Hoang Van Quang illegally profited 12,000 USD.

This is a drug trafficking ring that buys and sells large quantities of drugs from Laos to Nghe An and then to the southern provinces for consumption. It is known that Ha Ba Hua has just graduated from Hanoi Pedagogical University 1, while Hoang Van Quang comes from a family that specializes in illegal drug trafficking, so he has many tricks to deal with the authorities.

In court, faced with undeniable evidence, the defendants admitted all their crimes. After considering the circumstances, the panel sentenced Ha Ba Hua and Hoang Van Quang to death for illegal drug trafficking.
