Father and son transport and store firecrackers

(Baonghean.vn) - The patrol team of Quynh Luu District Police discovered a father and son transporting and storing nearly 30kg of Chinese-made fireworks.

At around 2:00 p.m. on February 9, a patrol team of Quynh Luu district police was patrolling the sea dike of Thanh Cong village, Quynh Long commune and discovered that Tran Van Kinh (born in 1949), residing in Dai Tan village, Quynh Long commune, was acting suspiciously. The police searched the bag the subject was carrying and discovered about 30kg of Chinese-made firecrackers.

The subject transported the above fireworks on foot from Son Hai commune to Quynh Long commune. After arriving at Thanh Cong village, the subject stopped by a relative's house to drink water and left the fireworks outside the sea dike to avoid attention. When the subject returned to get the fireworks, he was arrested on the spot by the police.

Expanding the scope of the search at the home of Tran Thi Hanh (born 1969), the biological daughter of Tran Van Kinh, the police discovered about 100 firecrackers hidden under the blanket on her bed.

The case is under investigation.
