Two sisters were prosecuted for stealing 100 taels of gold from their aunt.
On October 31, the police agency prosecuted and temporarily detained Huynh Cam Phuong (born in 1964) to investigate the act of property theft; prosecuted and temporarily detained Huynh An Ninh (Phuong's younger brother, born in 1968) to investigate the act of concealing a crime.
According to the initial investigation results, on October 16, Huu Thanh Commune Police (Tra On District) received a report from Ms. Dang Thi Tu (born in 1937, residing in Huu Thanh Commune) about the theft of 100 taels of 24K gold, 1 diamond ring, 1 tael of 18K gold necklace and a number of 24K gold rings.

The Criminal Police Department coordinated with Tra On District Police and related units to quickly examine the scene and organize an investigation, and invited people with suspicious signs to work.
During the struggle, Phuong confessed to stealing the gold. Searching Phuong’s residence, the police temporarily seized some yellow metal (about 3 taels) along with many invoices and handwritten papers related to the sale of gold.
Ninh is Phuong's younger brother who knew about his sister stealing her aunt's gold but did not report it.

The case is currently under further investigation to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
