Thinh admitted his actions and also revealed the names of Dieu, Lan and Dat. Searching the suspects' residence, the police seized many pairs of Nike shoes.
According to police records, this gang specializes in stealing finished Nike brand shoes produced by Freetrend Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Specifically, Dieu was a worker in the company's shoe factory, who directed his juniors to steal and directly negotiated and sold the stolen shoes to Nguyen Hoang Dat. Lan was the head of line 3 of the company, responsible for receiving targets, directing workers to produce, delivering finished shoes, and directly taking shoes for Dieu to have his juniors transport them for sale.
Dat was the one who bought and resold them to the shops. By organizing many workers to participate in the theft, the number of shoes stolen each day was up to hundreds of pairs.
A C45 leader said that this group is connected and spread across provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Hanoi, Hai Phong... The above subjects mainly focus on committing crimes in industrial parks and export processing zones where companies produce Nike shoes and clothes.
According to this leader, not only finished shoes but also shoe-making products such as soles, leather surfaces, laces, stamps, etc. were also stolen by this gang. The estimated value of the damage according to market prices is about tens of billions of dong.
For shoe accessories, the thieves are very sophisticated, usually female workers will wrap the "goods" around their waists so that security cannot check. After lunch or after work, these female workers will hide the stolen "goods" under the material transport vehicle to take them out.
These accessories are also processed into finished shoes in large quantities./.
